August brought a lower-cost way for Atlanta GRC Engineers to add optional Pro membership while the chapter continued building toward official status.
During the promotion, annual Pro membership dropped from $90 to $49.99 with promotional code AUGUST49.
Pro membership was optional, and joining and participating in the Atlanta chapter remained free. The August deal was simply a limited opportunity for members who wanted the additional Pro benefits to get them at a special chapter-launch price.
Community is the real perk
Perks and discounts are nice, but we do not believe they are the best reason to join a professional community. The real value is having people to share the journey with.
GRC Engineering is still evolving. Many of us are learning new tools, testing automation, navigating career changes, and figuring out how engineering approaches fit into governance, risk, compliance, security, privacy, and audit work. A strong community gives us people to learn beside, compare notes with, celebrate progress with, and call on when the work gets difficult.
That is what we want Atlanta membership to mean.
Pro membership adds benefits through the broader GRC Engineering Club, but free chapter members are still part of what we are building locally. You can pull up to eligible chapter events, use the Atlanta GRC Engineering Field Guide, connect with practitioners, and contribute to the community without purchasing Pro membership.
A limited launch opportunity
The August offer gave members already considering Pro a lower-cost way to upgrade during the chapter launch. That promotion has now ended, but free chapter membership remains available and Pro membership is still optional.
