Atlanta Chapter
A practitioner community for people in Atlanta and surrounding areas, dedicated to shifting cybersecurity compliance toward more automated and accountable ways to build trust.
Why Atlanta
Not just another meetup.
Atlanta’s technology, fintech, healthcare, and enterprise communities create the perfect proving ground for practical compliance engineering. This chapter is where practitioners can turn shared challenges into repeatable systems.

Who Atlanta
#AssureTheA
The 'Assure the A' mission is our shared commitment to strengthen Atlanta's GRC community through practical learning, meaningful relationships, and respect for every person who takes part.
Who belongs here
We are building an inclusive community. Bring a connection to Atlanta, curiosity about the work, respect for every member, and a willingness to help others grow. That is enough to get started.
You live, work, study, or have a meaningful professional connection to the Atlanta-area community.
You are interested in GRC, cybersecurity, privacy, audit, risk, compliance, or the technology that supports them. Experience is not required.
You come ready to learn, share knowledge, support others, and help maintain a welcoming professional community.
You respect every member, engage across differences in good faith, and are willing to work through conflict constructively whenever it arises.
Leadership
How we lead
The Atlanta chapter is built by volunteers who turn community ideas into useful programs, welcoming spaces, and practical opportunities to learn. The Atlanta chapter is starting with a small, intentional group of changemakers who lead by serving, share responsibility, and make room for others to grow.
How to get involved
We don't need more chiefs. We need people willing to hold a seat so the work has a home, then make everyone else's path lighter.
Maintain chapter records, meeting notes, and the follow-through that keeps members informed.
Track the chapter budget, receipts, reimbursement requests, and sponsor routing without holding or spending chapter funds directly.
Shape practical learning, mentorship, labs, and opportunities that help members grow their craft.
Own the chapter voice across announcements, event promotion, recaps, and other approved communications channels.
Show up in the A
The Atlanta Chapter grows when people show up for GRC Engineering events, learn together, and build relationships around work that matters.
Join the Atlanta chapter roster to hear when new sessions, labs, and community meetups are confirmed.
Atlanta Chapter Kickoff
State of the A brings the Atlanta GRC Engineering community together for a chapter kickoff. Meet chapter leaders, revisit what we are building in Atlanta, hear what's coming next, and bring your questions for an open Q&A.
