Four Months. Four Themes. Plenty Left to Build.

The calendar may be heading into its final stretch, but the GRC Engineering community is not winding down.

The broader GRC Engineering Club has a different focus lined up for each of the remaining months of 2026. For Atlanta members, that gives us four opportunities to learn something new, build alongside other practitioners, and put more of GRC Engineering into practice.

Pro members should have even more opportunities to dig into the monthly programming and related content as the year continues.

Here is what is ahead.

September: Azure

We are starting in the cloud.

September puts Microsoft Azure at the center of the conversation, with opportunities to learn how GRC Engineering principles show up in a real cloud environment.

Expect Azure-focused conversations, resources, and hands-on opportunities throughout the month.

There is also something new arriving with it: CGE-AZURE, one of two new GRC Engineering certifications expected this fall.

We will share more about the certification launches once there is more confirmed detail to explore.

October: FedRAMP

For Halloween, we chose the scariest framework we could find.

October is FedRAMP Month.

Behind the joke is a serious opportunity. FedRAMP sits at the intersection of cloud technology, security controls, evidence, automation, government requirements, and continuous assurance.

In other words, there is plenty here for GRC engineers to take apart.

November: AI Governance

November turns toward one of the fastest-moving areas in the profession: AI Governance.

The challenge is not simply learning another framework. AI systems are changing quickly, organizations are deploying them in new ways, and practitioners increasingly need ways to make governance observable and operational.

We will be following the broader club's AI Governance programming while looking for opportunities to connect those ideas to what Atlanta practitioners are actually building and governing.

December: Getting The Job

December is where we put rubber to road.

Throughout the year, practitioners have been learning new technologies, working toward certifications, building portfolio projects, attending events, meeting people in the field, and developing a more technical approach to GRC.

Getting The Job Month is about turning that work into opportunity.

That means taking another look at the portfolio you have been building. Finishing the project that has been sitting in your GitHub account. Making sure you can explain what you built and why it matters. Connecting certifications to practical skills instead of simply collecting credentials. Improving how you talk about your experience. And getting ready to put all of it in front of employers.

For people trying to enter GRC, it is a chance to turn learning into evidence that you can do the work.

For experienced practitioners, it is an opportunity to better demonstrate how your skills are evolving as GRC becomes more technical.

And for everyone who spent 2026 building, learning, experimenting, or earning that next certification, December is when we start asking the important question:

What are you going to do with it?

Learning matters. Certifications matter. Building matters. Community matters.
