Simply Cyber Con Is Worth the Trip

A Low-Cost Cybersecurity Community Event in South Carolina

Simply Cyber Con 2026 brings the Simply Cyber community to Folly Beach, South Carolina on November 8 and 9 for affordable practitioner-led cybersecurity learning and connection.

Simply Cyber Con 2026 takes place November 8 and 9 at Tides Folly Beach in Folly Beach, South Carolina, with a virtual option for people who cannot make the trip. General admission is $50, and breakfast and lunch are included with the in-person ticket.

For a two-day cybersecurity conference, that makes Simply Cyber Con unusually accessible. More importantly, the event is built around a community that has grown well beyond a conference weekend.

From YouTube to a thriving cyber community

Simply Cyber has become known for approachable cybersecurity education, career conversations, and a community that makes room for people at different stages of the field. The conference describes itself as built by practitioners, for practitioners, with programming that balances career growth and technical learning.

Atlanta Chapter President Dwight Turner already has his ticket.

"I'm excited for people to experience what grew from a YouTube channel into one of the most thriving cybersecurity communities online. Simply Cyber has shown how much can happen when useful content becomes a real community, and I'm looking forward to seeing that energy in person."

That evolution is especially relevant to what we are building in Atlanta. Community does not become valuable because it gets bigger. It becomes valuable when people keep showing up, sharing what they know, helping others move forward, and creating reasons to come back.

What to expect

Simply Cyber Con is entering its third year and will feature two tracks with cybersecurity practitioners, leaders, rising speakers, career-focused sessions, and technical content. The conference emphasizes authentic voices, inclusive perspectives, and the global #TeamSC community.

This is exactly the kind of PULL UP we want Atlanta GRC Engineers to know about. GRC Engineering gets stronger when practitioners stay connected to the broader cybersecurity community, hear how technical teams are working, and build relationships outside their immediate specialty.

If you are making the trip, let other Atlanta members know. A good PULL UP is even better when the community shows up together.
